Pawpaw and brown sugar cheesecake is topped with pawpaw gelee and a traditional sour cream topping, baked on our signature all-butter shortbread cookie crust.

When Kipp Lykins and Jane Fox of Paw Paw Farms, Inc. (one of the largest pawpaw groves in Illinois) decided that cheesecake and pawpaw would make a great combination, he turned to Chicago's own Eli's Cheesecake. Pawpaw, one of the only fruits indigenous to America, has a custardy texture and a flavor that is a cross between a banana and a mango. Eli's pastry chefs got to work, and created this delicious dessert - which was also the star of the 2nd annual Pawpaw Festival in Paw Paw, Illinois.

Eli's Desserts are perishable and shipped frozen, packaged with dry ice in a heavy-duty Styrofoam container so each arrives picture perfect. Shipping cost and additional info.

Residential: Orders placed Monday - Wednesday by 8am CT will ship to arrive the same week. Orders placed Wednesday 8:01am - Sunday midnight will ship the following week. Residential shipments may be delivered on Saturday.

Thaw Eli's Cheesecakes overnight in the refrigerator. Once thawed, store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. To serve, remove thawed dessert from box and remove shrink wrap and collar, if applicable. Remove the papers from each slice before serving. To store, Eli's Cheesecakes can be stored frozen at zero degrees (0F) for up to 9 months, tightly wrapped.

Combo fruit flavors with richness of Eli's signature cheesecake. I sent it to California to my kids and they loved it.

Paw Paw Fest!

I tasted Eli's pawpaw cheesecake at the Paw Paw, Illinois pawpaw fest Sept 20. Not knowing what to expect, only knowing I love Eli's chocolate chip cheesecake. It was a good vanilla cheesecake, with a hint of the mango-like taste of the native pawpaw. Very pleasantly surprised, and looking forward to buying a whole pawpaw cheesecake to share with my family.
